They navigate their way through the crowd and out of the party. Root lingers behind them, following Tj and slithering through the crowd.
“C’mon!” she says, grabbing Tj by the hand and running out the door, playfully. As they leave out the door, Root is standing inside watching them leave, as if Tj’s left him behind.
They run away together, full of glee. He doesn’t follow them. He just stays.
They eventually stop in the middle of the street and end up at what happens to be in front of a church.
Paloma puts her hands on Tj’s face and they gaze at each other.
“You know.... He calls me Paloma but my real name is Yona. everyone's going to need you to fit their perception of who you are because that's just the way of the world. but you're gonna have to decide who you are for yourself... So... Who are you?” Tj just looks at her deeply the, deep in thought he looks away.
the hallucination is over. She disappears as if she was never really there because she wasn't. TJ is standing in the street in front of the church by himself, wondering what this all means. He turns and looks at the cross on the door of the church.
